Our Teachers

Message from Kristin Mohr, Director of Bella Bee Academy

As the Director and Owner of Bella Bee Academy I take my job very seriously.  It is an honor that families choose our school to care for and educate their young children.  Ten years ago I left Elementary Education to come back to Early Childhood Education.  I was drawn back to young children because I felt there was a need for a better foundation before they entered into kindergarten and elementary school.  The expectations for children entering into kindergarten are set much higher.  As early childhood educators, we have the privilege of working one-on-one with children to help them gain the proper knowledge and independence necessary for success in the future.

I have a  B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from The University of Cincinnati and The University of South Florida.  I have 17 years experience working with young children, 10 years developing young minds and proudly opened and developed Bella Bee Academy in 2009.

I have 2 beautiful children, and I have been married to my husband, Brian since 2000.  We live here in Anderson Township and spend most of our free time with our children at their sporting events. Many days you will find me running through the parking lot to my car because I am either off to soccer, baseball, dance class, tennis or gymnastics.  I just do not want to miss a moment of their lives!

I invite you to read on to learn more about our incredible teachers at Bella Bee Academy.  Our teachers come from very different backgrounds and each bring their own unique personality and experiences to their classrooms.  Yet they all share a passion for early childhood education and commitment to their profession.  I am proud of what they bring to this school, and I know that you will be proud of what your children will accomplish with their help.

Please feel free to stop in my office at any time…I can’t wait to get to know you and your family!  Welcome to Bella Bee Academy!

Amy Conway

After graduating from Northern  Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, I spent several years working with at-risk children and families.  After starting my own family I decided to stay home and raise my daughter and twin boys.  When my children were older I began working in early childhood education. I have been working in the preschool for the past 9 years and enjoy the relationships I develop with children and parents.  I look forward to meeting and working with your children.

I began teaching preschool in Canton, Ohio in 2002.  I continued to teach 3 year old classes after moving to Cincinnati and have been at Bella Bee Academy since 2012.  I have taken many classes to develop my teaching skills, and received my CDA in 2009.  My very favorite thing to do with children is to read to them. I love to make stories come alive or tell make believe stories and add drama to them. My biggest joy is to see a child learn a concept that has been taught and see the expression on their faces when they have achieved the goal.  I also love to crochet, bake, garden, walk, go to garage sales, read and spend time with my family and good friends.  I have been married 40 years to my husband Gene.  We have three grown children and three grandchildren. I look forward to working with your children here at Bella Bee.

I have been teaching preschool since 1995 and have been with Bella Bee Academy from the beginning.  I graduated from the University of Cincinnati and received my CDA in 2002. I continue to update my skills by going to workshops and attending classes. I enjoy working with children and my classroom is a  fun and well organized place where new things are offered weekly. I am married and have two college age children. I enjoy reading (especially on the beach or poolside), I like working in my yard and I actually find cutting grass to be relaxing!  I look forward to working with your children and watching them learn and grow.

I graduated from UC in 1986 and was an active member of the UC staff until I chose to be a stay at home mom.  I gained experience working with young children in my home while having the opportunity to raise my own kids at the same time.  I began teaching preschool in 2006 as an assistant in the Two Year Old program and have been a Lead Teacher from 2007-present.  My goal in teaching is to have the children’s first experience in a school environment to be a positive one and one which the children are excited to come back to!  I enjoy family time, reading, and spending time outside in my flower beds with the sun shining!

I grew up as an older sister and have always loved children. I have wanted to be a teacher since middle school.  After graduating with a B.A. in elementary education and teaching third and fourth grades for a year, I discovered my love of preschool!  The switch to teaching young children about sharing and taking turns, colors, letters and sounds and numbers was a big change for me, but a great fit. Teaching through the medium of stories, songs, poems, games, finger paint, and crayons is a lot of fun! I count it as a great privilege to spend a year with your children. I look forward to teaching them, laughing with them, and making some great art projects together.

I’ve lived in Anderson for most of my life and am a proud K-12 alum of the Forest Hills School District. I have a BA in Spanish from Xavier University, and taught high school Spanish full-time  for 4 yrs in public schools. During this time, I earned an MEd in Literacy (Teaching ESL) from the University of Cincinnati. After the birth of our first child, I started working part-time, teaching Jr High Spanish for 5 yrs, and then preschool Spanish for 2 years. When I was presented with the opportunity to teach traditional preschool at Bella Bee, I was thrilled and honored!  I truly feel like I’m finally at home in my career!  My husband and I have 4 children, all of whom are proud products of Bella Bee Academy.  I love spending time with my family, reading and traveling.

After spending two years in banking, I changed careers to become a preschool teacher, and I never looked back.  I really enjoy helping children learn new things and preparing them for the future.  Being a teacher is always exciting and I especially enjoy the opportunity to not only teach children, but to learn from them as well.  I have a rather unique hobby. I enjoy working in the garage helping build and fix rail buggies, for trail riding and racing. I was born into this hobby as a fourth generation enthusiast, and I have passed it on to my son to make the fifth generation.  I look forward to working with your children.
